ATTUNEMENT & HEALING

Attunement facilitates the individual in becoming still enough to experience the serenity of Higher Self. This indwelling spiritual source is an individualized aspect of God that we each are. Most of the time this great idea has been a concept in our lives, perhaps part of a philosophy. Yet we know deep inside, at an intuitive level, this must be a reality, that we must originate from some place of ultimate good, of peace and wholeness, and reasoned purpose.

Attunement is a word describing the process of becoming one with our internal source. At-one-ment, or being one with also describes this most intimate potential. The outer, human capacities of mind, body and emotions become aligned or one with the inner, spiritual self.

The radiation shared through the hands of the Attunement Practitioner with the client engenders a sense of deep relaxation or meditation in which the cares of the world fall away and the deep core issues of our life can be looked at in a sacred safe space. The client establishes an internal Sanctuary Space in which to view his or her world. Another word for this experience is centering. This calm center away from the storm allows the client to turn again to his or her most deeply felt spiritual values. Because Attunement has this centering effect, it encourages the client to make adjustments in his or her life, and begin to move towards a more whole lifestyle.

Healing is what happens as the client moves toward wholeness or oneness. As the life forces begin to move more freely between the outer and inner realms, the outer capacities come “in tune” with the inner self. The spiritual life force animating all physical forms is the source of healing and the practitioner is simply a facilitator. The forces of healing are already within the person and are awaiting release.

What is preventing the release of the life force is a question that might be asked. In general, what serves as a block to vibrant health also lies within us. Attitudes, mental concepts, emotional memories, habit patterns, emotional choices concerning food and relationships, inability to deal with our past, our self image and possibly what might be called inherited patterns and karmic patterns. These are the things that relate to our most intimate space, our internal world, the core of what or who we think we are.
